How Walk-In Emergency Dental Care Works

We keep the process simple. Here is what to expect when you visit us without a prior appointment.

1

Arrive at Our Clinic

Walk in to 20 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, SW7 3DL. We are a short walk from South Kensington station.

2

Registration & Triage

Our reception team will register you as a patient — a few minutes covering your details and medical history — and assess the urgency of your situation so we can prioritise appropriately.

3

Emergency Assessment

A GDC-registered dentist will examine you, take any necessary X-rays, and provide a clear diagnosis.

4

Treatment Plan

You will receive a written treatment plan with full costs before any treatment begins. No surprises.

5

Same-Day Treatment

Where possible, treatment is carried out on the same day — fillings, extractions, root canals, or temporary measures as needed.

Important: While we welcome walk-ins, we recommend calling ahead on 020 7183 2362 if possible. This helps us prepare for your visit and reduces your waiting time.

Walk-In Dentist FAQs

Do I need to be registered to walk in?+
You do not need to be an existing patient — new patients are welcome without a prior appointment. On arrival, our reception team will register you as a patient, which takes just a few minutes and includes a short medical history form. We recommend calling ahead on 020 7183 2362 to check availability.
How much does a walk-in emergency appointment cost?+
Our new patient emergency assessment is available from £30 (usual price £95). Further treatment costs depend on what is needed — you will always receive a full treatment plan with costs before any treatment begins.
Can I get treatment on the same day I walk in?+
In most cases, yes. We carry out same-day treatment where clinically possible, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and temporary restorations. Complex cases may require a follow-up appointment.
Is it better to call ahead or just walk in?+
While we do accept walk-ins, we recommend calling ahead on 020 7183 2362 when possible. This allows us to prepare for your visit and minimise your waiting time. In a genuine emergency, simply come in.
What should I bring to a walk-in appointment?+
Bring photo ID if available, and any information about medications you are taking. If you have dental X-rays from another practice, these can be helpful. None of these are essential — we can take new X-rays on site.

Emergency Case

Emergency Root Canal & Crown for Severely Fractured Front Tooth

by Dr Yasha Shirazi

The patient presented with a front tooth fractured almost halfway, extremely sensitive and painful. After emergency root canal treatment, a fibre post was placed and a custom crown fitted to fully restore strength and appearance.

The adjacent chipped tooth was repaired with composite edge bonding. Both teeth were subtly reshaped for a balanced, natural-looking result.
